This tour will show you the great contrasts of Lebanon. Between East and West; between the Sea and the Mountain; between Christians and Muslims; between cities and villages .... all this on a small surface and in 4 days .... but taking time to enjoy .
Day 1
Discover the oriental city of Tripoli, with its souks, khans, hammams, mosques, churches and castle (see also tour: "Tripoli and its region)
Relax, swim or play in the crystal clear water of beaches and coves at the foot of the city of Enfeh, and discover this charming little town.
We will visit some of the regions monasteries, masterpieces of architecture and art.
Stroll through the resorts of Ehden or Bcharre, small, bustling mountain towns in summer, before finding the deserved rest in one of its charming hotels .
Day 2
We will visit the monastery of St. Anthony of Qozhaya, a place of pilgrimage, a real hidden jewel in the Qozhaya Valley
We will hike in the Holy Valley of Qadisha , Unesco World Heritage site (different trails adapted to your choice and your fitness), where we will visit the convent of Qannubin, one of the oldest in the Valley.
Time for a little adrenaline: We will cross Mount Lebanon by ATV (1 hour)
Admire the cedars of Lebanon, here called "Cedars of God". A walk in a small wood gets you close to these millennial trees before returning to the Hotel of your choice.
Day 3
Experience the adventure of a rafting or kayaking trip down the Orontes River . An unforgettable day for young and old under the guidance of a professional guide (From the age of 8)
After the adventure, a little time to relax by the river and to enjoy a good lunch.
After lunch we will have time to discover the historical monuments of Hermel, such as the Pyramid and the ruins of the monastery of St. Maron.
We will end the day on the riverside around a campfire before sleeping in a tent or bungalow (at your choice).
Jour 4
Visit the impressive complex of the Baalbek Temples (UNESCO World Heritage site), the largest Roman temples ever built. Not to be missed !!!!
Then we will visit the city of Baalbek, with its mosques, its source and the Mausoleum of the granddaughter of the Prophet Mohammed, Sayidat Khaula.
After lunch we will discover the ruins of Anjar. This ephemeral city, founded by Caliph Walid I in 744 and destroyed a few decades later. A model city drawn for the emir, with its palaces, mosque, hammam, residential areas and souks, an UNESCO World Heritage site.
